<Career Mate > Terms and Conditions:

1. Career mate offers environment which allows an individual to access his/her aptitude and also extends access to relevant career opportunities based on the analysis of the aptitude. Psychometric Test is a standard and scientific method used to measure an individual’s mental capabilities and behavioral styles and is designed to measure candidates’ suitability for a role based on the required personality characteristics and aptitude. Hindustan Media Ventures Limited is offering Career Mate to individuals to help evaluate their aptitude and to make an informed career decision.

2. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”), as amended from time to time are the complete and exclusive statements of understanding between Hindustan Media Ventures Limited (“HMVL”) & the Participant/Users (through Parent/Legal guardian) who shall enroll for the Psychometric Test (hereinafter referred to as the “Test”). It supersedes all other prior understanding, whether oral or written. All representation or other communications between the HMVL & the Participant amounts to acceptance of these T&Cs.

3. HMVL is offering a Psychometric Test for the students of IX to XII Grade. The Users/Participants may enroll either directly or through Parent/Legal guardian.

4. HMVL shall provide an online Test available on www.hindustancareermate.com for the Users/Participants. All registration and payment procedures shall be in accordance with the T&Cs as mentioned herein or as may be amended from time to time and/or any other communication as shared by HMVL from time to time.

5. By enrolling for the Test, a Participant unconditionally and irrevocably accepts and agrees to be bound by all these T&Cs as stated herein. This Test is subject to the laws of India, and is not offered outside of India. 

6. HMVL shall not be responsible for any Participant enrolling for Test unlawfully or otherwise in breach of any applicable laws. 

7. HMVL reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to terminate or disqualify any Participant’s enrollment to the Test at any time if it is the opinion of HMVL that there has been a breach of any of the T&Cs herein by such Participant.

8. All the contents and material of the Test is an Intellectual Property of HMVL and the User/Participant shall have no right whatsoever upon the same.

9. Any commercial use of the content of the Test is strictly prohibited and shall be punishable under applicable laws.

10. The Registration Process is as follows :

Registration Process:

• User shall visit www.hindustancareermate.com

• User shall create an account either for himself/herself or for the prospective Participant.

• User/Participant will be directed to the payment page where payment can be made using debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, digital wallets etc.

• Post successful payment, User will sign up with personal details such as Name, Father’s name, father’s contact no., Email id, School Details and Photo or any other details as may be required.

• If a parent wishes to register more than one - user, the Parent can use the same email-id but a different contact number for other user registration. All Participants will have to create a separate account with unique “User-ID” and “Password” which they can use to access their customized Dash board for a period of 01 year.

• Based on a Participant’s Grade/Class the respective Test will be assigned automatically.

• Once the payment has been realized by HMVL, access to the Test & Dashboard be granted to Participant.

• The access of the Dashboard to the Participant shall be granted for a period of 12 months from the date of registration.

• The Participants will login using the User Id throughout the tenure.

• The User Id and Password will be shared on the registered email- id’s for each Participant.

• .

• Registration Fee for each Participant shall be INR 149/- + inclusive of applicable taxes. HMVL reserves the right to change the registration fee at any point of time. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.

11. Participant Dashboard:

• After registration, the Participants will have access to their individual career Dashboards where they can find relevant courses, best colleges, admission notification, scholarship opportunities (if any). The information provided on the Dashboard is merely for bonafide guidance and cannot be assumed to be conclusive. HMVL shall endeavor to provide the correct and updated information, however takes no accountability of such information. The Participant is advised to use his/her judgment and prudence before opting for any course/institution.

12. Details of the Test are as follows:

For IX-X Grade – A psychometric Test with 80 aptitude-based multiple-choice questions to be answered within 25 minutes.

For XI-XII Grade – A psychometric Test with 120 aptitude-based multiple-choice questions to be answered within 35 minutes.

Once enrolled, the Test cannot be cancelled and any requests for refunds shall not be entertained.

13. Outcome of the Test shall be based solely on the responses; Outcome of the Test is indicative in nature and may require a career counselor’s help for validation to make the outcome of the Test more relevant to any particular participant. Further, HMVL does not guarantee any utility of the outcome of the Test.

14. Participant hereby acknowledges that the usage of this website is at the participant’s own risk. HMVL assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions.

15. By enrolling for the Test, the Participant hereby allows: (a) the usage of their photos, name, contact details (including mobile no./email-id), without compensation, for HMVL promotional and marketing purposes; and (b) the sharing of the report of evaluation of their responses with any third party to extend further services to the Participants including but not limited to career counseling services.

16. Any attempt by a Participant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Test is a violation of Criminal and Civil Laws and should such an attempt be made, HMVL reserves its right to seek damages from such Participant to the fullest extent as permitted by law.

17. HMVL in its absolute discretion may publicize, broadcast or otherwise disclose a participant's name, character, likeness, statements, or any recording of their voice in advertising or promotional activities concerning this Test, or generally.

18. HMVL, and/or its subsidiaries, offices and representatives shall not be liable to any person or entity for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, including loss of profits, incurred by the winner or any third party, whether in connection with this Test, or for breach of any warranty or in tort.

19. Participant/User agrees to indemnify HMVL, its agents, employees, representatives, associates, affiliates, parent and subsidiary companies against any and all claim, losses, costs, damages, liability and expenses arising out of the Participant’s breach of any of the T&C or arising out of or in connection with their entries to the Test.

20. Participant, by enrolling for the Test, expressly releases HMVL from any claim, action or demand arising out of or in connection with the Test or the report of Test evolution, if any.

21. HMVL shall not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of any Participant’s information. This will include but not limited to technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost or delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof.

22. The laws of the India shall govern these T&Cs. The courts of Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction in case of any dispute arising under the T&Cs herein.

23. HMVL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Participant while enrolling/participating in the Test.

24. Failure by HMVL to enforce any of these T&Cs in any instance(s) shall not give rise to any claim by any person.

25. All goodwill, copyright, moral rights or other intellectual rights associated with the Test shall vest exclusively with HMVL.

26. HMVL makes no representations or warranties and expressly disclaims any and all representations or warranties, explicit or implied, regarding this website. This includes, without limitation, the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of text, graphics, links, products, and services, as well other items accessed from or via the website. Moreover, HMVL does not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information given by HMVL or any other party on the website shall create any warranty or liability.

27. Any provision of the T&Cs that is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction shall be ineffective as to that jurisdiction to the extent of that prohibition or unenforceability. That does not affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction nor invalidate the remaining provisions of the T&Cs.

28. Payments: The Platform is a paid service and the payments made by the User registering as a Participant shall be according to the plans opted by the participant through the Platform. All payments by Users shall be through the payment mechanism put in place by HMVL. Users shall be given various options to choose from and proceed with the payment for the enrollment/participation via payment mechanisms including but not limited to Card Payment facilities, EMI Payment, Online Bank Transfer and Wallet Payment. It is hereby clarified that the payment gateway mechanisms are governed by the terms and conditions of the third party providers as listed on the Platform and the User agrees to be bound by those terms. Valid Credit / Debit/ Cash Card/ online bank transfers and other payment instruments are processed using a Credit Card payment gateway or appropriate payment system infrastructure and the same will also be governed by the terms agreed to between the Users and the respective card issuing bank and payment instrument issuing company. HMVL shall not be liable for any unauthorized use, fraud, payment refunds, lost amount etc. in the transaction.

29. User Communication: Participants hereby explicitly consent to receiving communication from HMVL or representative by email, telephone, Whatsapp or text message for the purposes of providing alerts and information about our services. Such communications shall not be treated to be in violation of the DNC (Do-Not-Call)

30. User Content: The information, photo, image, chat communication, text, software, data, music, sound, graphics, messages, videos or other materials transmitted, uploaded, posted, emailed or otherwise made available to HMVL (“User Content“), are entirely user’s/participant’s responsibility and HMVL will not be held responsible, in any manner whatsoever, in connection to the User Content. The User/Participant agrees not to encourage or assist or engage others as well as himself/herself in transmitting, hosting, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing transmitting, updating or sharing any information that belongs to another person and to which the user does not have any right to. HMVL shall in no way be held responsible for examining or evaluating User Content, nor does it assume any responsibility or liability for the User Content. HMVL does not endorse or control the User Content transmitted or posted on the Site by the User and therefore, accuracy, integrity or quality of User Content is not guaranteed by HMVL. User/Participant understands that by using the Site, he/she may be exposed to User Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable to him/her. Under no circumstances will HMVL be liable in any way for any User Content, including without limitation, for any errors or omissions in any User Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred by him/her as a result of the use of any User Content transmitted, uploaded, posted, e-mailed or otherwise made available via the Site. User hereby waives all rights to any claims against HMVL for any alleged or actual infringements of any proprietary rights, rights of privacy and publicity, moral rights, and rights of attribution in connection with User Content.

31. Account: User/Participant will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of his/her account, password, and restricting access to his/her computer, and he/she hereby accepts responsibility for all activities that occur under his/her account and password. Participant acknowledges that the information he/she provides, in any manner whatsoever, are not confidential or proprietary and does not infringe any rights of any third party.
    
    If a User is accessing, browsing and using the Site on someone else’s behalf; he/she represents that he/she have the authority to bind that person to all the T&Cs herein. In the event that the person refuses to be bound as the principal to the T&Cs, he/she agrees to accept liability for any harm caused by any wrongful use of the Site resulting from such access or use of the Site.
    
    If a User knows or has reasons to believe that the security of his/her account has been breached, he/she should contact HMVL immediately at the Contact Information provided below. If HMVL finds a breach or suspects breach of the security of a User’s /Participant’s account, HMVL may require the User to change the password, or suspend the account without any liability to HMVL.
    
    HMVL reserves the right to refuse service and/or terminate accounts without prior notice if these T&Cs are violated or if HMVL decides so in HMVL’s sole discretion. A User/Participant is solely responsible for all content that he/she uploads, posts, emails or otherwise transmits via the Site. The information provided to HMVL shall be maintained by HMVL in accordance with Privacy Policy.

32. The Participant may write to HMVL for resolution of any grievances @ careermate@livehindustan.com.

33. HMVL reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to amend or vary any of these T&Cs at any time without prior notice or intimation.

34. By enrolling for the Test, participant hereby acknowledges and agrees to abide by these T&Cs and the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and other policies as may be amended from time to time.
